Simply cooking and loving it

Not many would agree when I say I simply “love cooking”.
In times of junk and processed foods it is often considered “madness” to sweat it out in the kitchen. But my love for cooking is growing deeper and meaning full these days and now I am very certain that "Cooking and falling in love are both very seductive processes. One has to let lose a little to experiment, to feel things and for sure to try things that one would not really try otherwise.”
“Cooking” and “love” can both be hot and steamy affairs that not only require a little training, but also lots of effort. I wonder how can one who loves to eat, which most us do, can resist the temptation of not to try out those mouthwatering, lip-smacking goodies and celebratory meals that bind families and friends.
Food has always been the way to explore other cultures and most importantly the best part of any travel.
Bard, an American journalist and historian, fell in love with a Frenchman during a trip to Paris, married him and moved there with just a smattering of French and lot of expectations. She then learned how to cook, live and love like a Parisienne.
Her memoir, "Lunch in Paris," details the journey she began some 10 years ago and is essentially a love story that revolves around mouthwatering recipes. The path of cooking and love for sure is an easy affair, but then that’s the challenge to learn how to let go of one’s own self both in the kitchen and also in a relationship that’s what I understand from her writing.
And also, I could not agree more with her when she says that to allow feeling things both for a man and in a kitchen is perhaps as scary as liberating.
The battle between the “fantasy” (which I do often) part of cooking and the “reality” part of cooking is on and I am simply loving the art of "cooking" hands down!!!
